Every June, since we moved to the Roxiticus Valley at the end of 2003, our family hosts an annual Roxiticus Sunset Party that parents and kids look forward to all year.  So much so, that when we ran into friends at the Labor Day Parade and Carnival, several of our friends asked why we didn’t have a back to school party.   So (adopting Pathological Liar voice)… we decided to have a big party this Saturday….and you’re all invited!  Bring your friends!  Bring the kids!  Our backyard isn’t big enough, so we’ve changed the venue to the Brookside Community Club Grounds.  And instead of that hostess gift, why not slip the fireman at the door a few (well, quite a few) bucks?

This Saturday, September 11th, Brookside Engine Company No. 1 celebrates the 40th anniversary of its annual clambake from 1pm to 6pm at the Brookside Community Club Grounds in Mendham Township, New Jersey. Rain date is Sunday, September 12th, but the weather is looking nice for Saturday.

All you can eat clams, clam chowder, clams on the half shell, hot dogs, hamburgers, BBQ Chicken, and corn on the cob. All you can drink beer, soda and water. Tickets are on sale at the Wicker Basket in the Mendham shopping center and Provident Bank on East Main Street in Mendham. Tickets are also available at the door or purchase clam bake tickets online here.
